Viaan Industries launches ‘VOW’ game, crosses 75k downloads

Viaan Industries, a popular licensing, entertainment, and gaming company promoted by leading entrepreneur, Raj Kundra, and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra had recently launched VOW game, a farming game in August.

The company launched the game in association with Mangala Green Infra Ventures Private limited.

Pink Panther fashion collection launched at Essentiel Antwerp

A Pink Panther fashion collection for women has launched at the Belgian fashion label Essential Antwerp. The deal was brokered by CPLG on behalf of Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios.

Featuring the Pink Panther, the new fashion line includes sweatshirts, knit sweaters, t-shirts and handbags with embroidery, sequins, and slogans. The collection will be included in a look book shoot and featured on Essentiel’s social media channels.

Tom De Poortere, creative director at Essential Antwerp, said, “We always look to include graphic prints or characters into our collections and the Pink Panther is fun, colourful and has a unique charm which perfectly fits our brand.”

Essential Antwerp began life as a basic t-shirt collection in 19999 in Belgium and grew into a ready-to-wear collection for men and women. Today, there are 43 Essential stores in Belgium, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.

Rubie’s Masquerade, Epic Games partner to launch ‘Fortnite’ fashion collection

Rubie’s Masquerade announced a new partnership with Epic Games to create a range of Fortnite apparel collection for the European market. The transaction was brokered by IMG.

“Fans will soon be able to replicate their favorite Fortnite characters as they prepare for epic battles in our officially licensed costumes and accessories. We will be launching with some of the most sought-after character costumes and accessories for tweens and adults alike and will continue to strengthen our range alongside the ever-evolving skins from Epic. We are so excited to be part of this journey with Epic Games.,” said Tania Hrycko, Licensing Manager EMEA, Rubie’s Masquerade.

The new branded collection will feature costumes, masks, and accessories.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Rubie’s to bring them high-quality costumes and accessories so they can express themselves outside of the game, too,” said Epic Games co-founder Mark Rein.

The fashion collection, which will be launched in Autumn/Winter, will be available to purchase from a variety of online retailers.

Now send musical GIFs to Snapchat, thanks to TuneMoji

Snapchat users will now be able to send musical GIFs through chats, or as part of stories through TuneMoji. The music GIF network is integrating into Snap allowing the app’s millions of users to add TuneMojis in chats and stories.

However, you will need to have both TuneMoji and Snapchat downloaded in order to send musical GIFs.

Since launching in 2014, TuneMoji has been steadily growing, with around 20 million users already. The app allows people to create and share the GIFs, which all feature licensed music, to enhance their chat.

TuneMoji is backed by recording artists such as DJ David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am, as well as Napster co-founder Sean Parker.

“Adding music to GIFs is the next logical step in the evolution of visual communication,” TuneMoji’s founder and CEO, James Fabricant was quoted as saying.

The partnership with TuneMoji is among many that Snapchat is adding onto its Snap Kit. Other early launches include Tinder, creator fundraising site Patreon, and logistics service Postmates.

SPN join hands with Facebook to telecast ‘LaLiga’ on TV in India

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has partnered with Facebook to telecast the Spanish top division football league, LaLiga, on TV in India this season.

As per the association, over 100 selected matches will be telecast on SPN’s sports channels, including the key clashes, El Clasico and Madrid Derby. All matches will still be available for free on Facebook.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer Distribution, and Head – Sports, Sony Pictures Networks India said, “We have been committed to LaLiga for the past four years and we are excited to continue our partnership with one of the best football leagues in the world. This confirms our commitment to be the premier football destination for all viewers. TV is one of the strongest mediums in India and through this association, Indian audiences will continue to enjoy the LaLiga experience.”

The partnership builds on SPN’s association with LaLiga for the past four seasons in India as the league’s official broadcaster. Facebook won the media rights for LaLiga for the Indian subcontinent for three seasons starting from the 2018/19 season.

Joyee Biswas, Head of APAC Sports Partnerships, Facebook said, “We’re excited to team with Sony Pictures Networks India to give fans in India even more ways to watch LaLiga this season. The Pokémon Company unveils ‘Lavender Town’ inspired fashion line

The Pokémon Company International unveiled a new original collection of apparel and accessories influenced by Lavender Town, an iconic and fan-favorite location in the Kanto region.

Lavender Town originally appeared in the Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games and is recognized among fans as the most mysterious and one of the most iconic locations in the video game series.

The new collection includes a wide range of products including crewneck sweatshirts, 9Fifty Baseball Cap by New Era, leggings, infinity scarf, backpacks, laptop sleeves, colour changing mugs, lunch boxes and pencil cases.

The price of the products ranges from USD 9 to USD 40.

Cheating case filed against Hrithik Roshan, HRX brand issues clarification statement

After being accused of cheating, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has issued a statement to clarify the matter. His statement read, “Hrithik Roshan and HRX Brand have no association with the matter in question in news. HRX Brand has been licensed to Global Fragrances for limited purposes. The license was terminated by HRX Brand because of defaults by Global,”.

“Neither Hrithik Roshan nor HRX Brand are responsible to Muralidharan, the complainant. Neither HRX Brand nor Hrithik Roshan were responsible for engaging Muralidharan, the Complainant, and are not liable for Global Fragrances’ actions,” the statement further stated.


A case of cheating and fraud have been filed against the actor and eight others in Chennai. According to a Times of India report, the complaint filed by R Muralidharan claims that he was appointed as a stockist by a merchandise brand called HRX, that was launched by Hrithik Roshan in 2014.

The report further stated that Hrithik and others conspired to dupe him of Rs 21 lakhs. In his complaint, the complainant alleged that the company did not supply the products regularly and even dissolved the marketing firm without his knowledge because of which the products became stagnated as there were no sales. Muralidharan states that when he sent back the products, the accused did not pay him for the same.

Based on the complaint, Kodungaiyur police has registered a case against Hrithik Roshan and eight others. The complaint was filed in June under Section 420 of the IPC (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

On the professional front, Hrithik will be seen in the biopic of the mathematician ‘Super 30’, slated to release in January next year. Besides, the actor will also be seen in Yash Raj Films’ dance-action film which features Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in the pivotal roles.

Warner Bros have joined forces with Mezco Toyz for a new doll inspired by the studio’s latest horror release, The Nun.

Standing 18 inches tall, the Nun doll replicates the film’s protagonist. Her bright, piercing eyes stare directly into your soul and she features a film-accurate habit complete with a tunic, cowl, and veil.

The Nun doll is sold in a die-cut window box that can be used for display.

First introduced in ‘The Conjuring 2’, horror fans got a quick glimpse of the Nun in a haunting scene where demonologist, Lorraine Warren, is attacked by the spirit. This summer, The Nun stars in her own self-titled film exploring the unholy origin and dark secrets of her past further expanding the Conjuring’s Horrorverse.

To mark 25th anniversary of X-Files, Mattel is launching ‘Mulder and Scully’ Barbie dolls

From monsters to aliens to government conspiracies, the ‘X-Files’ series undertaken a variety of classy topics while delivering audiences two famous Special Agents — Mulder and Scully.

On September, to mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic show, Mattel is getting their own Barbie dolls.

X-Files Barbie was released 1998 to coincide with the theatrical release of the original X-Files movie, Fight the Future. However, these new ones look much more like a younger, 1993 era David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Besides, Fox is also giving fans of a chance to test their trivia knowledge of the show. Until September 3, fans can submit their own trivia questions to Shop.Fox.com for “The Truth Is Out There Trivia Contest.” When the show’s official anniversary comes around on September 10, the contest will launch on Fox’s website, ending September 17. Participants who answer the most questions correctly will be automatically entered to win an X-Files prize pack that includes the new Barbie dolls.

eOne announces broadcast and licensing plans for ‘PJ Masks’ in Korea

 Entertainment One (eOne) expanded the presence of its popular preschool superhero property, PJ Masks across Asia. The show will be heading to free-to-air channel EBS in Korea.

Starting August 29, 52 episodes from Series 2 of PJ Masks will begin airing on EBS and will significantly boost exposure for the show in the region following the broadcast debut on Disney’s cable network in 2017. Disney Junior is also set to air with Series 2 later this year.

 “There’s been incredible growth for PJ Masks across Asia,” said eOne’s Monica Candiani, EVP Content Sales, Family & Brands.

“We’re delighted that the partnership with EBS will bring our much-loved trio of heroes to more families throughout Korea as we continue to find new audiences for the show around the world,” Monica further added.

eOne will be building on the increased awareness with the expansion of the licensing programme which was launched in 2017 by master toy partner GAIA and has seen a wide distribution of the core toy range across Toys R Us, supermarkets, hypermarkets and traditional channels.

A new toy range capitalizing on the new content will follow the broadcast launch on EBS. Publishing partner Daewon will introduce a line of new storybooks from October 2018.

Additional licensees across apparel, homewares and stationery categories will be appointed shortly and are set to launch during spring/ summer 2019.
