Star Struck by Sunny Leone forays into global space

Foraying into the global space, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone announced that Star Struck products will now be available at Prity Salon in Bradford, UK.


Currently, the actress owns a line of cosmetics under the brand, StarStuck, which was previously being sold on online platforms.

Not only this, Star Struck will be officially launched in UAE on December 19.


In a first of its kind, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone had launched her first pop-up store in Mumbai.

Recently, Yoozoo Games also collaborated with Sunny for a mobile game. The company plans to use Sunny’s social media presence and connect to popularize the game and create monetization using the in-app purchases.

On the professional front, Leone was last seen in Web Series – Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone (Season 2).

Sunny Leone’s waxwork unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Delhi recently. She joins the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Virat Kohli, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, in the Indian capital.

Ralph Lauren eyes $500 million revenue from Greater China in 5 years

Ralph Lauren CEO Patrice Louvet has promised to open a store a week in China.

Speaking on the sidelines of the New York Times Luxury Conference in Hong Kong last week, Louvet said stores are crucial for projecting the company as aspirational which is why Ralph Lauren China is committed to expanding its network despite widespread concerns over an economic slowdown.

“We concluded that we are in the dream business. So, to some extent, we think we are closer to a company like Disney than we are to other apparel brands … we don’t believe we are just selling stuff, we are selling a dream, a lifestyle, we are offering worlds that customers can be a part of. So, for us to provide those experiences, we need both the digital world and the brick-and-mortar world,” Louvet told the conference.

That is part of the philosophy behind the launch of the Ralph cafe, the brand’s first coffee shop, which opened recently in Hong Kong.

In the latest quarter, Ralph Lauren’s sales in Greater China rose more than 20 per cent, with the mainland growth rate double that.

Ralph Lauren is targeting USD 500 million in revenue from Greater China within five years.

Recently, New-Yorkers also witnessed the return of Ralph Lauren coffee.

Ralph Lauren was one of the first fashion designers to expand his clothing line into a full-blown lifestyle brand.

When is Comic Con Mumbai 2018 happening?

22 and 23 December 2018

You’ll be able to find the passes on their website or on Bookmyshow or even at the venue on the day of the event. Like every year, there are two different passes – Super Fan Pass which includes exclusive comic and poster, super fan kit and exclusive licensed merchandise; and One Day Pass which includes one limited-edition comic and poster.

Venue: Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon. Gates are expected to open at 11 am.

Comic Con features the best of comics, movies, television, gaming, and cosplay. The event witnessed more than 1.2 Million visitors over the past 8 years nationally.

What you missed last year?

Both Marvel and DC Comics’ superheroes had come together (not literally) at Comic Con Mumbai 2017. Six zones were marked out for fan experiences – out of which, two were reserved for Marvel’s Thor and DC Comics’ Justice League. Other zones were AXN R.E.D (expect Sherlock), Gaming Truck, WWE Zone and My Little Pony.

Comic Con India (CCI) was started with an inaugural show in February of 2011 in Delhi. Held over 2 days, it featured 25 exhibitors and attracted close to 5000 visitors. Over the years since CCI expanded to 5 cities; Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune and attracted over 2,00,000 visitors cumulatively with over 1200 exhibitors at the shows.

Disney & Me store opens at Viviana Mall in Mumbai

Marvel launches new-edition Venom action figure

The Disney Store and Diamond Select Toys have teamed up for a new edition of the Marvel Select Venom action figure.

The newest Marvel Select Venom action figure stands at 7.75 inches tall and features 16 points of articulation with three interchangeable heads; a removable back attachment that can hold two spider legs; three pairs of interchangeable hands; and seven additional tendrils of symbiote that can be secured at different locations on Venom’s arms and back attachment.

Venom joins a variety of exclusive Marvel Select figures at the Disney Store, including Thanos, Iron Man MK 50, Black Panther, Savage Hulk and Unmasked Spider-Man.

The figure will be available for purchase on December 10, in Disney Stores and online at ShopDisney.com. It comes packaged in display-ready Select packaging, with side-panel artwork for shelf reference.

Hasbro to create first-ever themed indoor water park

Hasbro has teamed up with Imagine Hotels and Resorts to create the first-ever Hasbro-themed indoor waterpark and family resort.

As per the association, Imagine will co-conceptualize, build, create and operate the resort.

“We are thrilled to work with Imagine’s deeply experienced leadership team to bring Hasbro brands to life in exciting new ways,” said Casey Collins, senior vice president, consumer products, Hasbro.

The theme park will feature themed rooms, indoor water attractions, entertainment and food, and beverage offerings.

Hasbro’s portfolio of brands includes My Little Pony, Nerf, Monopoly, Mr. Potato Head, Candyland, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Magic: The Gathering and others.

The Hasbro-themed resort and indoor water park are set to open by 2022.
