French apparel brand Promod to launch its online store in India

Promod, the leading French brand is all set to foray into the online retail in India this week.

Promod will launch its online store in the country to cash in on the e-commerce boom, the company said in a statement. Promod online store will offer the full range of items that the brand currently offers in its stores in India and at the same prices.

The brand will expand its presence in Tier II and III cities across key markets. According to the company, customers in India will be able to pick up their orders at the store of their choice or opt for home delivery. The E-reservation service will start later this year.

Nadine Caux, Managing Director at Promod – French boutique brand said, “We initiated our digital sales in India through Myntra and the response has been very encouraging in the first year. We are now looking at offering around 2000+ styles in the coming year and looking at doubling our turnover. This shows a great opportunity for us to launch our own portal and we are confident that consumer satisfaction through this omni channel route will attract more loyalty towards the brand.”

The brand is looking at expanding its retail footprint across India by opening new stores. It also plans to open 100 retail stores in the country by 2025.

With more than 30 years dynamic experience in women’s ready-to-wear retailing, Promod is today one of France’s biggest fashion store chains and the brand enjoys huge international success.

HBO, Columbia Records to release ‘Game of Thrones-Inspired’ music album

Columbia Records and HBO have join hands to create an officially licensed album of music inspired by ‘Game of Thrones’.

The music album is all set to accompany the eagerly anticipated final season of the award-winning drama series, premiering in 2019.

According to a Broadway World Report, the soundtrack will feature songs inspired by the hit series and will showcase artists from diverse musical genres.

Viewed in more than 170 countries and hailed as a global and social media phenomenon, Game of Thrones has countless music and entertainment stars among its fan base, many of whom regularly share their love for the epic series on social media.

HBO Licensing and Retail works across a broad range of product categories, including collectibles, apparel, publishing, live branded experiences, digital gaming, fashion and beauty collaborations, luxury accessories, and more.

Toonz Media, Yellow Entertainment sign global preschool content deal

India-based Toonz Media Group and Australian-based Yellow Entertainment announce a co-development and co-production partnership and global distribution deal for multiple forthcoming preschool animated series.

Greg Page, co-founder of The Wiggles and President of Yellow Entertainment, will serve as Executive Producer.  P. Jayakumar (CEO, Toonz) and Alec Miller (VP Creative Development, Yellow Entertainment) will be the producers.

Commenting on the collaboration, Toonz Media Group CEO, P. Jayakumar said, “Partnering with Yellow Entertainment presents Toonz with one of those rare opportunities to collaborate with a like-minded entity to create quality preschool content for the global market. This is an exciting venture we are embarking on together that will surely bring awe-inspiring and enriching content for young audiences worldwide.”

As per the association, Yellow Entertainment will handle pre-production, including IP creation, scripts, and music, while Toonz will lead all other aspects of production.

Imira Entertainment, Toonz Media Group’s kids and family specialized distribution division, will be responsible for international distribution of the IP’s developed and produced as part of this alliance.

The partnership between both companies will bring forth commercially attractive and kids-engaging preschool tiles with universal appeal to the global marketplace.

“The preschool content that we are developing and producing with Toonz will engage children in a way that connects with children based on child psychology, child development and extensive experience in the industry of preschool entertainment.  Be on the lookout for follow-up announcements about the IP very soon,” said Greg Page, President of Yellow Entertainment.

Yellow Entertainment’s strategic focus is developing and distributing preschool IP with an educational and interactive approach to children around the world.  The Wiggles, one of the longest running, and still touring, international billion-dollar children’s brands, was co-created by Greg Page over 25 years ago.

Mumbai’s Oberoi Mall unveils life size sculpture of Jurassic World’s ‘Blue’

Mumbai’s trendiest shopping destination – Oberoi Mall partners with Universal Pictures India and unveiled the life size sculpture of Jurassic World’s Velociraptor dinosaur, popularly known as “Blue” for the very first time in India.

The sculpture was flown down from Universal Studios to India to give a peek into the upcoming dinosaur movie, according to an APN News report.

The showcase is open from June 1 until June 10.

Commenting on the association, Anupam T, Vice President, Oberoi Mall said, “We are thrilled to partner with Universal Pictures India to recreate Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in our mall and exhibit this life size sculpture of the Jurassic World franchise’s most popular dinosaur, Blue. Vans unveils entire Marvel collection: Check out some of the coolest designs

If you’re passionate about the Marvels, prepare yourself for one of the biggest superhero collaborations of 2018.

Vans has unveiled their entire Marvel collection, featuring designs inspired by Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, among others. The shoes are available in multiple sizes for fans of all ages and are accompanied by a line of apparel.

According to a press release, the Vans x Marvel collection features items based on the Avengers and other key Marvel characters, including members of the X-Men and Deadpool. Vans Customs is also offering three Marvel prints so fans can create their own designs.

Celebrating the “Off The Wall” superheroes of the Marvel Universe, Vans will introduce everything from footwear, to clothes, to accessories for all ages and genders. The 70-piece roll out has small capsule collections inside it, sticking to certain squads or characters.

After paying tribute to Mumbai terror attack, Titan launches ‘The Forever Kolkata’ collection

After paying tribute to the victims of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack with its Eternal Mumbai collection, Titan, India’s largest and most trusted watch brand, launched a limited-edition collection of watches – The Forever Kolkata Collection.

The beautifully crafted collection is inspired by the famous scriptures and monuments of the city of joy. These wrist pieces take inspiration from some of the most iconic elements such as Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial, Dakshineswar Temple and Bangla script.

The collection starts at Rs 4,610 and ranges up to Rs 6,920.

Sharing a video, Titan wrote, “The sounds you love to hear and the words you speak, now also tell time in the language so close to your heart. Forever Kolkata – a collection of limited-edition timepieces, intricately designed to bring alive the charisma of Kolkata on your wrist”

The collection was presented in an artistic exhibition at the Birla Academy of Arts and Culture.

The collection has eight distinctive timepieces for both men and women.

Jacqueline Fernandez launches her restaurant ‘Pali Thai’ in Bandra

After venturing into the apparel segment, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez opens her new Thai restaurant ‘Pali Thai’ in the suburbs of Mumbai (Bandra).

Jacqueline joins hands with best friends Mishali Sanghani and starchitect Ashiesh Shah for a scrumptious Thai restaurant in Mumbai. Mishali Sanghani is the proud owner of celebrity favourite Pali Village Café and Pali Bhavan.

The restaurant unlike other traditional Asian eateries in Mumbai, doesn’t have a global, contemporary, chic vibe. According to an Architectural Digest report, the lampshades were inspired by the Thai farmer’s hat, or ngob.

Disney Consumer Products collaborated with Jumbo Games for a collection of children’s puzzles to celebrate the release of ‘Incredibles 2’.
