Heidi Bienvenida series two arrives on Yes KidZ

Mondo TV Iberoamérica, a division of Mondo TV, one of the largest European producers and distributors of animated content, has announced the sale to Yes KidZ, an Israeli television channel for children, of series two of the tween and teen comedy drama Heidi Bienvenida.

Called Heidi Bienvenida al Show, the new series, which continues the adventures of the happy, carefree girl who leaves her beloved mountain home to live in the big city, will broadcast on Yes KidZ from September 2019. The license agreement will last for three years.

Yes KidZ, which broadcast on yes, Israel’s sole direct broadcast satellite television provider, was one of the first broadcasters outside Latin America to show series one of Heidi Bienvenida. Series one – Heidi Bienvenida a Casa– launched in Israel in September 2017 and was a big hit with its target tween and teen audience, which is expected to be equally enthusiastic about the new series.

The second season builds on the popular characters of the first, adding a new and very unconventional family, new friendships and new themes, including Heidi’s talent for creating perfumes, her efforts to help her friend Coco overcome her fear of singing, a new hairdresser, some very special dolls, and an amazing motorbike shop. There are, of course, new and even more extraordinary hats from Heidi, as well as a lot more of the music that, alongside the storylines and characters, underpins the appeal of the show.

Kiabi and Chupa Chups team up for a colourful range of t-shirts

This summer Chupa Chups, the most iconic lollipop brand, has teamed up with the popular French retailer Kiabi to develop a colourful range of t-shirts to make the whole family happy.

Hamsta World and Licent form strategic partnership to conquer China

Da Hamstas are going to China. Hamsta World of Happy Ink is thrilled to join forces with LICENT in China, led by the acclaimed Mrs. Toni Qiu and co-founder Nikolaj Moesgaard.

LICENT is a quirky and nimble licensing company with a very strong partner group. Internationally she has made a name for herself working for Disney, Hasbro and for Mattel Greater China where she was the Director and Head of Consumer Products. 

Toni is a long-running jury member of the LIMA China licensing awards. Earlier this year she received well-deserved recognition from China’s largest toy association “China Toy & Juvenile Products Association” for her outstanding contribution to the industry.

Co-founder Nikolaj Moesgaard is originally from Denmark but has spent the last twenty years of his career abroad. First in the UK and the US, but since 2006 he has settled in China and Hong Kong where he contributes a wealth of international management experience and a solid understanding of doing business in Asia.

Novel Entertainment’s Horrid Henry hits the big screen with Vue

A brand new episode of special compilations of of Novel Entertainment’s award-winning animated show Horrid Henry will screen in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 23 August following a deal secured with Vue Entertainment.

Tickets go on sale this week for the special (1 hour 4 minutes) which is directed by Hilary Audus and Dave Unwin and produced by Novel Entertainment’s Lucinda Whiteley and Mike Watts.

Calling all loyal members of the Purple Hand Gang, are you ready to rock?!  Horrid Henry’s back in style on the Vue big screen, with a fantastically brilliant special compilation of favourite episodes, brand new music videos and all round horrid fun.  So pack up your air guitar and come and join Henry and his friends, family (and enemies) for the best and most horrid entertainment ever, tee hee!!

APC kids snares sales for Fox & Hare

APC kids the children’s entertainment division of leading co-production and distribution company APC Studios, has secured a raft of sales for its animated property Fox & Hare (26 x 11’). Based on popular forest fables and aimed at children aged 4-7, Fox & Hare is directed by Mascha Halberstad and Tom van Gestel, and produced by Submarine in the Netherlands, Walking the Dog in Belgium and Doghouse Films in Luxembourg.

DR in Denmark, RTHK in Hong Kong and Piwi+ in France have all picked up the show which is commissioned by Ketnet in Belgium and KRO- NCRV in The Netherlands. Fox & Hare has also presold to RTBF Belgium, YLE Finland, RUV Iceland, ERR Estonia and TVP Poland.

Follow the bright and cheerful adventures of the most unexpected forest friends imaginable in Fox & Hare, a humorous and imaginative animated series adapted from the eponymous book series by Sylvia Vanden Heede and Thé Tjong Khing, published in over 10 countries by Lannoo Publishers. Fox has a taste for the finer things in life, while his best pal Hare is rather more responsible and gentle. Angry Birds takes flight with Neos!

This summer sees the arrival of some delightful new travel companions for Neos, the

leisure airline owned by the Alpitour Group. Angry Birds – the stars of cinema, toys,

promotions, their own games and much, much more – will actually take flight over the

next few months aboard a 737 that has been personalized just for them!

 

This initiative is the latest project in the successful partnership between the Alpitour

Group and Angry Birds, which was launched last winter. These two major names in their

fields had already enjoyed an exclusive collaboration focused on Italian travel and

travelers. Now, there’s another ‘first’ on the horizon: Neos will be the first Italian airline

to have personalized Angry Birds livery, a riot of colors and fun character images

inspired by forthcoming film The Angry Birds Movie 2.

 

Yes, for the next few months, delighted travelers will be welcomed on the runway by the

cheeky and charming stars, who will be greeting passengers – from the side of the plane!

 

The Neos airplane certainly won’t go unnoticed as the Angry Birds take flight to some of

the most splendid summer destinations. They include Italy, the Canary Islands, the

Balearic Islands, Israel, and Egypt – and in all of them Alpitour has many special

offerings for holidaymakers, including the AlpiClub Famiglia where Red and other

Angry Birds friends will be on hand to entertain guests with a variety of activities during

their stay.

Aurora World hails launch of YooHoo to the Rescue in Russia

Aurora World, a leading character and content company and owner of the globally successful YooHoo brand, has hailed the successful launch of the new YooHoo-inspired animated series YooHoo to the Rescue on the leading Russian linear TV station for kids, Carousel TV.

The new 3D CGI 26 x 11’ animated children’s show, YooHoo to the Rescue, an Aurora World co-production with Italy’s Mondo TV, launched in June. It airs Monday to Friday at 8:25am from 24 June – 2 August; at 5:55pm from 2 September – 27 September; at 6:25pm from 28 August – 6 December; and at 10:30am from 9 December to 26 December.

Following the show’s nationwide launch, Aurora World has launched TV commercials in Russia for the brand-new line of YooHoo plush toys inspired by the new series. The commercials started airing on 8 July. YooHoo’s Russia and CIS agent brand4rent is also planning to launch licensed products in key categories such as publishing, outdoor, confectionery, art and crafts, fashion and accessories.

YooHoo is ready to develop a presence in Russian retail building on its strong TV showing, beginning with the new plush line that refreshes a multi-million-selling plush line first launched in 2007. Detsky Mir, the largest children’s retailer in Russia and the CIS, is Aurora’s exclusive plush toy partner in Russia. It has more than 500 stores throughout the territory. YooHoo to the Rescue is a funny, exciting and beautifully designed animated series with strong environmental and adventure themes, in which YooHoo and his crew travel from the magical forest of YooTopia to Earth to confront threats to nature and wildlife, meet many different endangered animal species from around the world and make new friends along the way.

YooHoo to the Rescue launched its first season of 26 episodes on Netflix on 15 March 2019, broadcasting in 20 different languages and showing in 190 countries. YooHoo to the Rescue is one of the first Asian pre-school IPs to be produced as a Netflix Original Series. The new animated series is also showing on TV channels in Italy, Poland, Spain and Portugal (including Frisbee, Canal Panda, Clan TV, and TVP ABC), as well, of course, as Carousel in Russia.

Genius Brands launches branded merchandise for Rainbow Rangers & Llama Llama

Genius Brands International, Inc. the global brand management company that creates and licenses multimedia entertainment content for children, announced that it is has entered the next phase of its growth, expanding beyond content development, production and distribution into product merchandising, as licensed consumer products tied to the Company’s two hit flagship series, Rainbow Rangers and Llama Llama, begin to hit shelves in Q3 and Q4 2019.
